Just found an absolutely COOL website – especially for any of your birth/symbol/art junkies! This is just perfect.
The site is called Visualizing Birth. It’s a collection of art and images relating to birth. And includes articles about birth as they relate to the images. The subconscious mind is the most powerful part of our mind and it’s also sometimes the most misunderstood. It’s the repository of all our ideas and experiences and the beliefs that have arisen because of those experiences. It’s like an inner road map to reality.
What do images have to do with all that?
Well the language of the subconscious is feeling, imagery and imagination. Symbols, art and images fit right in with it. That’s what makes visualization so powerful.
Check it out. http://visualizingbirth.org/
If you love it as much as me – let me know!
Have a great day,
Marie

Hi Marie, this is Anna from Visualizing Birth…thank you so much for your post here about my website! I am writing because I love the HypnoBirthing Crowning Rose image that you also have here. I would really like to write about this image but cannot find its origin anywhere on the internet. Do you know where it comes from or to whom I might speak about it? Thank you for any info!
Hi Anna,
Good to hear from you. The HypnoBirthing Crowning Rose painting was done by a hypnobirting practitioner/artist whose name is Gisela (I believe). I know that she gave hypnobirthing practitioners permission to share the image with all the families we work with, so there is a good chance she would give you permission to share on your site. I don’t have her contact info, but Mickey Mongan who leads hypnobirthing will have it. Her contact info is Mickey Mongan, hypnobirthing@hypnobirthing.com
All the best,
Marie
Hi Marie,
Thank you for your response and for this information, which I only just came across today! I very much appreciate it and will contact Mickey Mongan.
Thanks again and best wishes,
Anna
