On Saturday June 6, over 80 people joined together to raise money for our local labour and birth unit at the Regina General Hospital. It was a wonderful opportunity for women is explore all the holistic services in the Regina area for pregnancy and for support for new moms. Nineteen exhibitors were in attendance showcasing a wide variety of services and products. Guests and exhibitors enjoyed the screening of the Business of Being Born which is a film that really raises awareness about birth culture in North America. Before and after the film, guests got a chance to bid on over 40 very cool and varied donated items in the silent auction. It was a night of connections and possibilities.
And now the final total is in. Together we raised $1986.40! I am so happy! I am deeply grateful for all of you who supported this endeavor in various ways.

This means that we raised enough money to purchase 3 birthing stools for the Regina General and we even have some extra to get some of the little but important things like hot water bottles which they don’t have.
I’m so glad to be part of such a wonderful, caring and giving community!
deeply grateful, Marie
